Korean Cultural Center is established on January 30, 2019 at Azerbaijan Technological University. It is the first Korean Cultural center in the region and aims to deepen the understanding and appreciation of Korean Culture among Azerbaijani people by providing diverse cultural programs and events and to promote a more active people-to-people exchange between the Republic of Korea and Azerbaijan.
The Center fosters more cultural exchanges between our countries. We believe that cultural exchanges between Korea and Azerbaijan will be more expanded through these efforts. The center provides a diverse range of programs which include Korean language classes,information about Korean culture, history and economy, and Hanshik or Korean cooking classes by members of Food Engineering faculty of Azerbaijan Technological University.
The Center plans to hold annual events such as the Korean Speech Contest, Pop Quiz Korea, Korean Film Festival and Azerbaijan-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival and organize Korean Culture Caravans in different universities and institutions with the aim of immersing more Azerbaijanians in Korean Culture. The Culture Caravan will include film screening, food tasting, book exhibit, K-Tourism photo exhibits, Korean traditional games, and Hanbok-wearing.
The Center has a little library equipped with books related to Korean language, Grammar, Literature, History and etc,various journals, dictionaries, newspapers, CDs, Korean souvenirs and national costumes.
